Prayer Journeys & Prayer Breakfasts

“Participants need to be willing to lay down their life in prayer.”

Prayer Journeys and expeditions are intense, focused, challenging and will take participants out of their comfort zone. They are long distance trans-local and trans-national prayer walks.

We find that our participants pray more during these journeys than ever before and face the truth of spiritual battles and cultural pressures that persecuted Christians contend with on a regular basis.

In both initiatives, participants will indeed be ‘stretched.’ Therefore they need to be willing to actively depend on Jesus spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Participants must have servant hearts and be willing to do their part, be available and engage energetically in prayer, often in difficult or unusual circumstances. They also need to be willing to be pushed to the limit and to be serious about praying for unreached people, nations and the persecuted church.

Prayer Expeditions are a little more complicated than Prayer Journeys. There are at least two kinds of Prayer Expeditions that stand out to me:

  • ‘Point to Point’ Expeditions: these are about actually tracing significant routes across territories such as trade, slavery, religious wars etc.
  • ‘Border to Border’ Expeditions: these are about spanning geographical extremities for the purposes of strategic engagement towards spiritual awakening.

For both Prayer Journeys and Prayer Expeditions participants need to be willing to lay down their life in prayer.
