Since 2007 we have been intentionally connecting with the church across the Middle East especially in Egypt, Armenia and Israel. During this time we have visited every year, leading and participating in some significant prayer and training activities. In 2009, we were invited to partner with the church in Egypt and to host a non-denominational training conference for pastors, leaders and the church across the region. With the financial assistance from the praying people of Australia, through the APN and some wonderful ministry colleagues and friends, we have been serving the church in this region ever since.

In 2019 we celebrated 10 years in hosting and leading our annual CHI-Ministries pastors and leaders conference in Egypt with a gathering of 900. The rich tapestry of participants at our conferences, provide a beautiful collage of backgrounds and personalities as they come together for a time of instruction, prayer and worship.

The age ranges from young adults to the mature in the faith; those experienced in ministry and those just starting out. Over the years we have translated and printed a number of Christian books and specialist training workbooks and resources. Alongside these conferences we have developed other specific training initiatives for married couples, marriage counsellors and emerging leaders, including seminars on personal spiritual development and prayer. We have seen first-hand how this ministry has borne considerable fruit especially as a contributor to the larger Christian picture on what God is doing across the region, especially in other Isaiah 19 Highway nations. Let’s never forget, that in spite of hardship and persecution through the centuries, God has protected His witness in the nation of Egypt for over 2000 years.
