Ben is a speaker, consultant, publisher, author, experienced pastor and former businessman, who, through travelling the globe in church, mission and business activities, has developed communication and leadership skills to impact a generation for Jesus. Currently serving as, Apostolic leader of CHI-Ministries, a non-denominational network of Kingdom Ministry, Strategic Prayer and Global Mission; Creator of Vocations 4Life, an online program that helps people discover their purpose and calling in God; Apostolic Oversight and Founder of the Australian Prayer Network, a large cross-denominational prayer movement. Ben is an experienced and highly respected leader in Australia and within the prayer movement nationally and internationally and in missions across North Africa and the Middle East due to his commitment and service to the church in these nations.

Ben’s multi-gifted leadership abilities and wide-ranging experience were utilised on a team that grew one of Australia’s largest Baptist Churches that had a growing influence in church planting, church partnerships and global missions. From his diverse background in mechanical engineering, mining, and marketing, to general manager and international consulting within the seafood industry, enabled Ben to enjoy periods of ‘bi-vocational’ and ‘full-time’ ministry across  

the years. He’s planted and assisted in the establishment of a number of churches and ministries in Australia and internationally. He’s held regional leadership (Australia and

the South Pacific) in the global AD2000 Movement during the nineties under, Dr Luis Bush and Dr. C. Peter Wagner, and executive leadership with the Evangelical Fellowship of the South Pacific (EFSP). In 1996 Ben founded the current ministry he now leads, and in 1999 established a publications arm of the ministry (CHI-Books), that has gone on to produced a number of bestselling titles and award winning authors.

He’s led strategic prayer, church, leadership and missions conferences and seminars nationally and internationally. Worked with church and community leaders in citywide transformation ministry as well as leadership consultancy. Ben was an early pioneer in leading strategic prayer journey’s internationally into the 10/40 Window and other key nations in the early 90’s, as well as teams for church planting, training and ministry. Since 2005 his primary prayer and mission focus has been North Africa, the Middle East and several other strategic nations. In 2001, along with a number of his city’s leading pastors, Ben helped pioneer a citywide network of churches and ministries in Brisbane, called ‘BrizNet’ and a citywide outreach initiative called, ‘Yes! We Care’ and for 10 years helped lead the Lord 

Mayor of Brisbane City-wide Prayer Breakfast. Until Dec 2020 he co-chaired the vision team of the Australian National Day of Thanks. Since 2012 Ben’s spearheaded, with the leadership team of the Australian Prayer Network, a new training initiative that includes a national and international practicum. These Watchmen Schools of Intercession have seen thousands of people across Australia trained in prayer, intercession and mission.

Ben’s years of pastoral experience, openness and sensitivity to the work of the Holy Spirit, combine to make his ministry style relaxed and discerning while being relevant, credible and practical. His commitment to the people of Brisbane and the wider church across Australia has made him a widely respected community leader. He is well known across the Church in his city, nation and internationally, for his strong commitment to the Body of Christ and the transforming power of the Gospel of the Kingdom.

He is married to Liz and has 3 adult children.
